“Para-BD” is stuff and things inspired by comic books and their characters, produced by booksellers, publishers, comic book festivals, fanzines, associations… Posters and screen prints, postcards, head prints, pins, bookmarks, soft toys or resin figurines. The most common are the ex-libris that accompany the albums. Generally, it is the occasion of pretty objects rather sympathetic nerves intended for the sympathetic collectors.
And so, in the (virtual) pages of this special issue, we will discover ALL the products derived from the World of Arkadi published over twenty years. A few dedications complete the volume.
I would add, for those who don’t know, that these gadgets can be used as an introduction to “Le Monde d’Arkadi”, a SF-Fantasy series that I started in 1989 with Les Humanoïdes Associés, continued with Guy Delcourt and completed in 2009. It includes nine volumes plus a prequel, “Nocturnes”, which also gave rise to some ex-libris and dedications.
